Museum is located near the Old Port, approximately 6km from the city centre. The Cyprus Medieval Museum is housed in the Medieval Castle of Lemesos. The building at the time of 1570 was conquered and used as a garrison and jail by Ottomans. Medieval museums exhibitions include medieval pottery, tombstones, superb silver Byzantine era plates, weapons, crosses and coins. Details: Open all year round. The Department of Antiquities can issue special entry cards for all its museums and ancient monuments: One (1) day entry cards - 8,50 EU three (3) day entry cards - 17,00 EU, seven (7) day entry cards - 25,00EU. No wheelchair accessibility. Opening and closing times as well as entrance fees, are subject to alterations without notice. Visitors are advised to check before visiting.
